Who We Are
Outlaw Aviation is owned and operated by Sam Monte and Walt Lasecki — both military veteran officers with a desire to lead and educate students who share a passion for flight.
This brought them together and is at the center of their work; as they create fully skilled pilots with mentorship and dedication for all who come to gain stick and rudder piloting skills.
Outlaw Aviation was founded in 2013 with a clear vision — to help students gain a private pilot license while in high school, as well as flight training required to become proficient pilots for a career in aviation.
Through our unique partnerships with Sisters High School, the Sisters School Foundation, and Sisters Eagle Airport, along with the help of private and corporate donors, we offer high school students the opportunity to get a private pilot certificate at a fraction of the traditional cost.
Using our team of instructors, teachers, equipment and FAA approved course material, we will help create a fully developed and successful pilot ready for success.
Why Fly With Us
Outlaw Aviation is the only program of its kind in the United States! We partnered with Sisters High School, the Sisters School Foundation, Sisters Eagle Airport and numerous private donors to provide students un-paralleled access to general aviation while attending high school.
Outlaw Aviation is based at beautiful Sisters Eagle Airport and our location offers approximately 300 clear flight days a year and unmatched scenic, cockpit views of Mt. Bachelor and the Cascade Mountain range. Combine our amazing location with easy airport access and friendly airport personnel and there is never a bad time to fly with us.
Our primary flight trainer is a tried and true Cessna 172. Measured by its longevity and popularity, the Cessna 172 is the most successful aircraft in history.
In fact, a Cessna 172 was used in 1958 to set the world record for flight endurance; a record that still stands today. In addition to being known as a reliable and safe plane, the Cessna 172 is typical of the type of fixed wing plane and instrumentation that most private pilots will encounter upon completing their private pilot certification.
Our stable also includes a M20C Mooney (Complex), an experimental helicopter and an AATD FAA certified flight simulator with a fully functional life-sized cockpit and controls.
